NDC forms emergency committee to investigate Mahama's shocking defeat

The outgoing National Democratic Congress (NDC), says it will be probing the exact reasons why President Mahama lost in the just ended 2016 general election.

The emergency committee, chaired by former minister of finance and chairman of the National Development Planning Commission (NDPC), Professor Kwesi Botchway, is expected to see the party lay out plans for victory in the 2020 general election.

President Mahama, who ran on the ticket of the governing NDC, garnered 44.40 per cent of valid votes cast while his fierce contender, Nana Addo won by 53 percent.
