The New Patriotic Party is revealing that more than 6,000 guests will be expected at the inauguration ceremony of President-elect, Nana Akufo-Addo come January 7, 2017.
The inauguration ceremony which will be head at the Independence Square in Accra will see some heads of states, members of the diplomatic corps and senior citizens attend.
“Currently, the invitations have gone out to the heads of states and the heads of government agencies that will be joining us for that day. The Information Services Department is also requesting our friends in the media to also bring in applications for accreditation for the said day,” spokesperson of the NPP transition team, Kojo Oppong Nkrumah revealed.
Nana Addo won by close to 53 percent in the just ended 2016 elections, making him the only opposition leader to win an election in Ghana's 4th republic.
