His speech was in response to the NPP’s press conference led by its campaign chairman, Mr Peter Mac-Manu projecting Nana Addo as the winner of the 2016 presidential elections even before the Chairperson of the Electoral Commission; Madam Charlotte Osei could announce the winner.

His “comfortable lead” comments during the speech according to Member of Parliament for Odododiodio, Nii Lante Vanderpuije was to assuage and calm tempers of the party’s teeming supporters.
Members of the general public have constantly trolled NDC supporters with the comments of Mr Anyidoho on social media.
The NDC has had their worst defeat in its history since the inception of the 4th Republic. They lost both the presidential and parliamentary majority in the 2016 election
