Mr. Domelovo's absence at last Friday's ceremony was taken by many as a sign of his rejection of the appointment.
Egbert Faibille Jnr, a legal practitioner, on Joy News's Newsfile Saturday December 24th, said that Mr. Domelovo may have gotten wind of the controversy.
According to Mr Faibille Jnr, Mr. Domelovo may have thought, "I am better off doing my work and not to invite all this brouhaha [to myself]... And so he leaves town and the swearing-in that was supposed to have taken off yesterday hasn't come on. I believe that is the end of the road," said the legal practitioner and NPP member.
