A bushfire horrifically killed two women at the Soboba District of the Northern Region on Saturday.
The women were winnowing and bagging rice on a farm in the area when the accident occurred, according to a report by Accra-based Starr FM.
Police say a wild fire swept through the dry bushes, trapped the women and burned them beyond recognition.
A third woman who was severely injured was transported to the hospital for treatment.
Reports say activities of bush burning especially in the three regions of the North during the dry season have damaged properties and displaced many people.
