President Elect, Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo Addo, joined hundreds of guests and dignitaries at the 36th Kristo Asafo Mission Technology Exhibition to celebrate innovations coming from the Kantanka Technological Centre of Excellence (KTCE) in Gomoa, Mpota, in the Central Region.
Speaking at the event that took place on Sunday, January 1st, Nana Akufo Addo said that his government would focus on science and technology in order to precipitate development.
The President Elect was joined by a host of other local dignitaries such as the MP for Dome Kwabenya, Sarah Adwoa Sarfo, Vice Chancellors of the University for Development Studies (UDS) and the University of Ghana, Prof Gabriel Ayum Teye and Prof Ebenezer Oduro Owusu, the President of the Association of Ghana Industries (AGI), Mr James Asare Adjei, and Director of Academic Affairs of the Ghana Armed Forces Command and Staff College (GAFCSC), Dr Vladimir Antwi-Danso.

Several products were exhibited at the event to the delight of guests present. Among the exhibits showcased there were 3-wheeled motorbikes, robotic welding machines, a special smoke detector, locally made V8 cars, several models of Kantanka vehicles, and a tower weapon for warfare.

Sarah Adwoa Sarfo, MP for Dome Kwabenya and daughter of Apostle Dr Kwadwo Safo Kantanka, said that the work exhibited at the event were ample demonstrations of the capabilities of the "Blackman in the area of technological research and innovation".
In his address, Apostle Dr Kwadwo Safo Kantanka, said he would "lead the crusade to liberate Africa from the negative perception about the black man".
