China does it again! Donates security materials to Ghana's parliament

Deputy director of public affairs in parliament, Kate Addo has revealed that “tomorrow (Wednesday), Mr Speaker will officially take delivery of the security facilities that were provided to us by the Chinese.”

According to her, to “end the sixth parliament and to increase security for the seventh parliament, tools are being installed, official handing over will be done tomorrow at 9:00am at the Speaker’s block”.

China recently furnished the floor of parliament with state of the art chairs - a development which attracted much rage from the minority and other political advocates who are of the opinion that the middle-eastern country was meddling in the sovereignty of Ghana's law making body.
