President of Ivory Coast, Alassane Ouattara will be the Special Guest at the inauguration of President-elect Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo, according to the inauguration committee.
According to the committee all is set for the inauguration of President-elect Nana Akufo-Addo and his vice, Dr Bawumia on January 7, 2017.
The ceremony which will be held at the Independence Square in Accra will also host over 11 heads of states from other countries, as well as 13 other government representatives and multinationals.
In total over 6,000 guests are expected to attend the ceremony in Ghana’s capital.
Meanwhile, the Ghana Police Service says it is ready to maintain high security across the country ahead of the inauguration.
