The New Patriotic Party (NPP) has filed a suit at the High Court, challenging the results of parliamentary elections in three constituencies of the Brong Ahafo Region.
The NPP says that there were irregularities during voting and discrepancies in the results of the election at Asunafo South, Banda and Pru West constituencies, according to a report by Accra-based Class FM.
The party contends that the alleged irregularities affected the results of the elections in those constituencies.
The party's deputy general secretary, Nana Obiri Boahen, said "foreign materials" were found in ballot boxes in the constituencies and that some ballot papers were tampered with.
The National Democratic Congress won the election in the three constituencies.
