President-elect Nana Akufo-Addo has officially announced Albert Kan Dappah as the Minister-designate for National Security.

Nana Addo at a press conference at his Nima residence also named Brigadier Gen. Emmanuel Okyere as the National Security advisor.

Joshua Kyeremeh former head of the Bureau of National Investigation (BNI) as the National Security Coordinator.

Mr Kan-Dapaah has held several positions in private firms and public institutions since 1978. He was an Audit Senior with Pannel Kerr Forster, a chartered accounting firm and was transferred to its Monrovia and London offices between 1978 and 1986.

He is a Fellow of the Chartered Association of Certified Accountants (U.K.) and Member of the Ghana Institute of Chartered Accountants.

In January 1987, he was the Head of Audit, Social Security and National Insurance Trust (SSNIT).

Nana Addo further named his administrative staff and other appointments that will begin work on January 7, 2015.
