President John Mahama engaged in hearty chat with former President John Kufuor, former President Jerry Rawlings, Speaker Edward Doe Adjaho, Chief Justice Georgina Wood and other top government functionaries as he waited to deliver his State of the Nation Address (SONA) on Thursday.
Vice-President Kwesi Amissah-Arthur and First Lady Lordina Mahama were also available during the chat.
The vice-president engaged Madam Wood in a heart chat while Mrs Mahama chatted enthusiastically with Rawlings.
Mahama and the speaker also chatted excitedly with each other before the president went on deliver his SONA.
Mahama's final SONA was described by minority and majority parliamentarians as "statesman-like".
