It was in fifth grade when Aviyah started having romantic feelings for Yonaton, although –typical at that age– she also felt he was a bit annoying. One year later, it was Yonaton’s turn to start having a crush on her.
From then on, the love for each other only got stronger. They were a couple by 7th grade, and have been together since then.

Yonaton and Aliyah became inseperable. And their relationship only got stronger with time.
By 2013, Yonaton felt he could not wait any longer. He decided to propose. On the Jewish holiday Sukkot, he posted a giant poster outside Aliyah’s house, which said “Will you marry me?” posted across.
They got married nine months later, and soon afterwards had their first child. They have said the key to their beautiful relationship has always been communication.
“Even though I’ve known Yonaton for basically all my life, I find that we are still learning new things about each other. And I really like that!” Aliyah said.
