The interdenominational service was organised by the Okyenhene, Osagyefuo Amoatia Ofori Panin along with the Christian Council of churches in the Eastern Region and was attended by the vice president of Ghana, Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, Mike Oquaye, the Speaker of Parliament and former president John Kufuor.

The church service was also attended by other New Patriotic Party (NPP) stalwarts, Members of Parliament, diplomats and international dignitaries.

At the thanksgiving service, the Chairman of the Church of Pentecost, Apostle Opoku Onyinah, delivered a sermon urging members of President Akufo-Addo’s government not to be covetous of worldly things, but to work as a team and listen to their leader.
