Ghana's police force were at their full force during Nana Addo's investiture at the Black Star square.
The police reveals that at least six persons were arrested for engaging in some criminal activities within the Black Star Square during the swearing-in ceremony of President Nana Akufo-Addo and his Vice, Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia.
The suspects, who are currently being processed for court for allegedly stealing from some guests at the event, follow 10 other cases of theft recorded at the event.
“We recorded about 10 cases of petty crimes like pick-pocketing or situations where people’s mobile phones were picked up and other things. And of those cases, we managed to arrest the perpetrators," Director of public affairs, Supt. Cephas Arthur said.
Saturday's investiture say close to 5000 security personnel deployed to ensure peace and safety of life and property.
