A short ceremony held at the forecourt of the Golden Jubilee House saw President Nana Akufo-Addo inspect and supervise a change of guard.

The ceremony, which was held on Monday, was to usher in the newly elected New Patriotic Party (NPP) government.
Nana Akufo-Addo emerged winner from the 2016 elections, beating then incumbent John Mahama, and was subsequently sworn-in as president of Ghana on Saturday.

The president made known of his intentions to curb corruption when delivering his inaugural speech, and reiterated his administration’s desire to protect the public purse.
Also in attendance as President Akufo-Addo effected the change of guard was vice president Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia.
