Speaking in an interview with Hitz FM’s MzGee, Ofori Amponsah revealed that he was only a member of the church he set up and not the head pastor as speculated.
He added that his love for the work of God “is one secret the public do not know”.
He narrated that he "didn’t know where to go to church when I decided to say goodbye to highlife. When I started the church, it was like a meeting of believers and it turned into a church so people started attending it. It is not a registered church and I’m not an ordained pastor. I just love Jesus and that’s all.”
Ofori Amponsah won numerous awards as a highlife artiste and has released a series of hit tracks after returning to the fold.
