Some youth supporters of the New Patriotic Party earlier this week, in the Evalue Ajomoro Gwira constituency in the Western region seized the official vehicle belonging to James Atta Kakra Baidoo, the Municipal Chief Executive.
According to the spokesperson of the disgruntled youth Emmanuel Freeman, they took such action when they saw the vehicle being driven by an inexperienced driver, who is said to be an electrician, who eventually crashed the car.
According to reports by Starr News, the police intervened and the vehicle has since been returned to the MCE.
This is not the only instance of NPP supporters causing trouble, as there are been many reports of these disputes across the country.
On Monday, some individuals believed to members of the NPP stormed the Tema Harbour, demanding to be given access to some main installations of the facility. They demanded that all national security operatives manning the Golden Jubilee terminal, Reefer and Atlas yards be withdrawn for them to take over.
These persons had reportedly been seen hanging around the facility since Nana Akufo-Addo was inaugurated as president last Saturday.
The Tema Police were called to the facility to resolve the issue.
Also in Tamale, some supposed NPP supporters tried to seize the offices of the NHIS and the Youth Enterprise Agency.
