Asiedu Nketia, whose NDC lost to the New Patriotic Party (NPP) in the 2016 elections, has praised the manner in which President Akufo-Addo’s swearing-in ceremony was put together.
Speaking in an interview with Accra-based Neat Fm, he said although the ceremony was nearly marred by certain mistakes made, the overall organization of the programme was “exceptional”, labeling it as the best.

“Some parts of the ceremony were excellent but some little mistakes nearly marred the program. The planning and organization was exceptional. In all, I will say it is the best. The transitional process was also the best.”
President Nana Akufo-Addo was elected as president of Ghana after defeating then incumbent John Mahama, and was subsequently sworn-in as president last Saturday – together with his vice Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia – in a colourful ceremony at the Black Stars Square in Accra.
