The president of the republic of Ghana has asked legislators to speed up the process of vetting and approving appointee ministers to enable the government get on with delivering their promises to Ghanaians.

Nana Akufo-Addo announced 13 names at a press conference held at the Flagstaff house that he had submitted to the speaker of Parliament for consideration and vetting.
These names are as follows:
The Foreign Minister designate is Shirley Ayorkor Botchwey
Interior Minister - Ambrose Dery
Energy Minister - Boakye Agyarko
Minister of Agriculture - Dr Owusu Afriyie
Attorney General designate is Gloria Akufo
Local Government Minister designate - Hajia Alima Mahama
Dr. Matthew Opoku Prempeh is the Minister of Education designate
Health Minister designate is Kwaku Agyeman Manu
Even though the president asked for a speedy process, he requested that the vetting committee be thorough in order to show Ghanaians that the right people have been selected.
