Star actress, Yvonne Okoro, strongly defended President Nana Akufo-Addo over accusations that he plagiarised portions of his inauguration speech.
An examination of the speech revealed word for word "liftings" of speeches by President Bill Clinton, President George W. Bush Jnr, drawing widespread condemnation from members of the public.
But Okoro, in a series of tweets, defended Akufo-Addo, claiming that action did not violate Ghana's copyright laws.
She condemned members of the public who have strongly criticised the president over the plagiarism allegations.
She said Bush had used the same words by Woodrow Wilson as Akufo-Addo without any outrage from Americans, adding that Ghanaians should move on.
Meanwhile the Daily Show on Comedy Central in the US, which is hosted by Trevor Noah, mocked Akufo-Addo on the plagiarism scandal.
