Kennedy Agyapong, the member of parliament for Assin Central and the owner of Ashh FM has finally opened up about his reasons who dismissing his employee journalist who faked his disappearance during the elections period in 2016.
According to Kennedy Agyapong, relatives of the supposed 'missing' journalist accused him of killing the said journalist, Daasebre Adjei Dwamena, for ritual purposes to clear a path of victory for the NPP in the December 2016 elections.
The relatives of the journalist apparently also attempted to bring him before the chief of the Ashanti kingdom, Otumfuo Osei Tutu II, to answer to the accusations.
However, a very upset Kennedy Agyapong stated that he was just as worried as the family of the whereabouts the journalist, explaining how he did everything in his power to aid in the search for him.
Mr Agyapong said that when Daasebere Dwamena finally turned up, the reasons he gave for his disappearance were ill-founded and unconvincing, considering the emotional turmoil put his family and colleagues through.
This led to the decision to terminate his employment, adding that he did not deserve to work at Ashh FM.
Meanwhile, Kencity Media has issued a statement announcing the dismissal of the journalist pending the results of the investigations into his actions.
