Dr Mahamudu Bawumia has settled into office at the Flagstaff House and has begun work.
It follows his taking of the oath of office and the inauguration of Nana Akufo-Addo as president on Saturday.
Bawumia has already started receiving important visitors as he works to help Akufo-Addo fulfill his campaign promises.
The vice-president is also expected to lead Akufo-Addo's economic management team.
In another development, former President John Mahama has withdrawn a request to keep his official bungalow as his retirement home.
He said in a later to Akufo-Addo on Wednesday that he would make do with any accommodation provided to him by the state.
