The #deadpose challenge recently swept through South Africa and became a trend for all social media users in the country.
A mother, Bontle Goitsimang, has sparked outrage after she took the challenge to the extreme, pranking her toddler with a dead pose. Her son who was scared screamed and cried over what he believed was his aunt's lifeless body.
According to DailyMail, the mother filmed the distressed two-year-old as he cried over his aunt's lifeless body. Goitsimang said she was just having some fun with her sister and son.
She said: "My baby was in on the joke,’. ‘She knew what was going on, she realised it was a joke, I think she is laughing more than crying. I was filming it, it was my sister on the floor, it was all planned. It was just a joke, a very quick joke. It is only fun, a small funny thing."
