Martin Amidu falls in trouble, cited for contempt in parliament

Parliament of Ghana has cited former attorney general and citizen vigilante, Martin Amidu, for contempt after a recent publication he released on some corruption scandals there.

The revelation by Martin Amidu has seen the New Patriotic Party (NPP) member for Mpohor, Alex Kofi Agyekum, call for Amidu to be summoned for questioning.

It will be recalled that Martin Amidu in a letter to speaker of parliament, Prof. Mike Ocquaye, called for the purging of the legislature because according to him, the 5th and the 6th parliaments were involved in serious corrupt activities.
