The utterances of the artiste have not gone down well with the Mamprugu Youth Association, who have threatened to deal with him if he fails to apologize for his comments.
The chairman of the association is quoted by NEWSONE as saying that Pope Skinny’s utterances were tantamount to “a taboo” adding that “Samira's husband is a Mamprusi Royal and it is impious and forbidden for any man to say he is in love with the wife of a royal.
“We are Mamprusis and would not watch someone trample on our traditions. We take strong exceptions to such blatant misbehavior and we demand an apology from the artiste immediately. We assume he was ignorant of our customs but if he fails to apologize, then we know he has decided to intentionally step on our toes.”
Azortibah further said that Pope Skinny’s words went “too far” and insisted that he must “apologise and retract his statement or we shall take him on as permitted by our tradition and accepted by law.”
Pope Skinny has, however, refused to speak about the matter and all attempts to reach him have proved futile.
