“I’m exceedingly happy that he will keep all the promises he made in the campaign and that should be gratifying. That should make every Ghanaian very [very] happy. Because if the President keeps his word and there’s no reason why the President should not keep his word, corporate taxes will be reduced from 25% to 20%. Hallelujah! Hallelujah!!
“If the President keeps his word and there’s no reason why he shouldn’t keep his word, 17.5% VAT on Local Air Travel tickets will be abolished. Who would not want this? If the President keeps his word, VAT on Real Estate sales will be abolished.
If the President keeps his word, import duty on machinery and raw materials for manufacturing in Ghana will be abolished. If the President keeps his word and there’s no reason why he shouldn’t keep his word, Senior Secondary Schools will be free,” he said.
Although Mr. Pratt expressed optimism, he only went as far as to wish the current administration all the best in fulfilling their campaign promises.
