The group is alleging that Afeku is a fraudster and as such does not deserve to be named minister.

A press statement released to the media said: “Mrs Catherine Afeku and her husband Mr Seth Afeku were found guilty for defrauding American couples on 19-10-2013 by an Accra High Court presided over by Her Lordship Barbara Ackah-Yensu. The trial judge directed the former MP for Evalue-Gwira Constituency Mrs Afeku and her husband Mr Afeku to pay an amount of $ 217,464.00 plus 50% interest to the plaintiffs, Patricia and Bill Gick.”
