Nana Addo's campaign promise, dubbed "1 district, 1 factory", was met with varied opinions opposition as many doubted the feasibility of the policy.
Earlier, this month, the plans for how the news president of Ghana expected the idea to roll out were leaked into public domain and this restored trust in the project for some people.
The president believes that the establishment of these factories across the country, will help in the industrialization of Ghana’s economy and also create jobs for the teaming unemployed youth.

To help the new government achieve this goal, the chief of Sefwi Awiokrom, Nana Ahwoi Payne I, has allocated a 40 acres of land to help the Nana-led administration to implement the policy within their locality.
Speaking with the Accra-based radio statio, Rainbow Radio, Nana Ahwoi explained that he believed Nana Addo will deliver on the policy hence, the reason for them to allocate the land to government at no cost.
When asked what kind of industry or factory they would want government to construct in the area, Nana Ahwoi said, "we are predominantly cocoa farmers and so we will be grateful if government construct a factory that will add value to what we produce here."
"It could be a beverage processing factory or any cocoa related product", he added.
