It has been revealed that management of the Korle Bu Teaching Hospital spent a staggering 100,000 cedis on Christmas bonuses.
The revelations were made following an investigation by Accra-based 3FM.
According to the investigative report, “Each staff member received GHC 100 as motivation while the management members received a total of GHC 17,000 intramural allowance (extra allowances at the discretion of management).”
The management members who benefited from the amount included Director of Medical Affairs, Director of Administration, Ag. Director of Pharmacy, Director of Finance, Director of Nursing Services, Ag. Director of General Services and Director of Human Resources.”
The Korle-Bu Teaching Hospital is the largest hospital in Ghana and is a major referral point in Ghana and the West Africa region
