The Black Stars's first match with Uganda in Gabon, hosts of the 2017 AFCON ended in a wonderful [SCORE] against Uganda.

Ghana have won six of the 13 encounters played against Uganda in all competitions. Uganda have won three of those games, with four ending in draws.

The match against Ghana was played by the Black Stars' starting XI, Razak, Afful, Baba, Amartey, Boye, Thomas, Wakaso, Atsu, Dede, Jordan, Gyan.

Prior to the match, Ghanaians were very pessimistic of a successful game from the Black Stars. The National soccer team has lost a lot of love over the past years due to an elongated AFCON trophy drought.

Ghana's fortune took a bright turn when Dede Ayew scored a penalty kick in the 32nd minute.

The first half of the match ended in favor of the Black Stars of Ghana with a score of 1-0 against the Cranes of Uganda.

Ghana's next match is on January 25th as the Black Stars face off with the Pharaohs, the national football team of Egypt.
