Bernard Antwi Bosiako popularly known as Chairman Wontumi, the Ashanti regional chairman of the NPP in a recent interview has stated emphatically that he is not in the business of making money through politics.

Speaking to Bola Ray on Starr FM the very vocal regional chairman stated that he has over 100 houses in Kumasi alone and it’s not politics that will make him rich since he is already rich.

He stated “I built my first house at age 22; it was a 25-bedroom house. I have about 100 houses only in Kumasi…go to PMMC (Precious Minerals and Marketing Company) and check I used to get over 1million dollars a day, at 33 I assembled cars and named it after myself Wontumi.”

Wontumi also dismissed allegations that he makes his money from fraudulent activities and maintained that he is a legitimate businessman who works within the laws of the Ghana.
He noted that he is just being given a bad name by members of the opposition NDC who don’t want him to succeed.
