Ghana’s Vice President, Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia has warned state institutions across the country to be expectant of more surprise visits from him as part of his efforts to learn their concerns and improve efficiency.
This follows an unannounced visit he paid to the Registrar-General’s Department on Wednesday, 18 January to identify the bottlenecks bedevilling the enterprise.
While there, he interacted with aspiring and owners of businesses who had gone to the department to register their businesses.
Some of those he met at the registry expressed their frustrations in registering of their establishments.
The vice president took to his official twitter account on Thursday to tweet: “There will be many of such visits to state institutions in order to be acquainted with the efficiency of their operations.”
