Controversial radio presenter, Nana Kwabena Bobie Ansah has reproached President Akufo-Addo for being “tribal” in selecting his government officials.
‘It can’t be possible that one tribe has been given the urge in terms of appointments over the rest of the tribes in the country. This is dangerous! What direction is this country heading to?” an upset Bobie Ansah asked.
According to him, the New Patriotic Party government is has been filled with conceited and obnoxious politicians who would continue to insult the intelligence of Ghanaians.
Speaking on Montie FM in Accra, Bobie Ansah expressed his displeasure with the President's cabinet selection, stating “90 percent of his appointees are from the Akyem tribe”.
Bobie Ansah further chided the Senior Minister-designate, Yaw Osafo Marfo for describing the Member of Parliament for North Tongu, Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa as a “small boy” during his vetting session, when the MP questioned him on some allegations leveled against him.
It would be recalled that in 2004, the Kufuor government with Osafo-Marfo as minister of finance solicited for an amount of US $300 million loan from the CNT Construction Investment Ltd.(CNTCI Ltd) to undertake important infrastructural projects.
Then in 2005, Mr Osafo Marfo was accused of fraudulently sole-sourcing a US$ 27 million deal to the Macmillan Company to provide text books to the Ghana Education Service, which the then opposition did not comprehend why such action was undertaken without parliamentary approval.
Bobie Ansah further stated that Ghanaians would eventually regret their decision to vote the NDC out, saying “President Akufo-Addo’s government has nothing to offer”
