President Akufo-Addo's decision to set up a committee for the Ghana @ 60 celebrations has been lauded by controversial rapper and NPP supporter A Plus.
According to him, there was a need to celebrate Ghana's milestone and as such it was necessary to put in place people who would be responsible for the occasion.
"I think that it is very important to put that committee together, it is very very important…if we want to go to Zoomlion to seek sponsorship for disposing off refuse during the cleanup exercise for Ghana @60. Even that we need someone to go and seek sponsorship. Even if it’s not for free we need someone who will negotiate for a reduction in cost, so I wish I am part of the committee, I wish you are part of the committee," A Plus said.
On Thursday, January 26, President Akufo-Addo launched the committee that was set up to oversee the preparations and activities that will mark the 60th anniversary celebrations of Ghana's independence.
The committee would be chaired by Mr. Ken Amankwah with the deputy chief of staff Samuel Jinapor as Vice Chair.

A Plus further expressed confidence that the committee would follow in the steps of the Transition team, and decline any bonuses that will be awarded to them for their work.
