President Akufo-Addo is being warned to vacate his residence and relocate to the Flagstaff house for security reasons.
Security expert, Major General Nii Carl Coleman(rtd), says he does not see the reason why the president continues to stay in his private residence when the state has provided him an official residence.
“Once we have given President Nana Akufo-Addo the nod, we are to give him the necessary protection. [Therefore], immediately, a step should be taken to get Nana Akufo-Addo to move into the official residence,” he argued.
Also, the deputy director of the Centre for Democratic Development (CDD), Dr. Franklin Oduro says it is wrong from the president to continue residing in his private home.
Nana Addo has been staying at his Nima residence in Accra ever since he was sworn in as president on January 7th. So far, the reason(s) for his action remains yet to be known.
