New IGP is shaking Ghana's police force with a thunderous strike

Ghana's newest inspector general of police (IGP), David Asante-Apeatu, has effected drastic changes in the police force, Daily Guide has confirmed.

The IGP replaced COP Prosper Kwame Agblor with DCOP Bright Oduro as the Director General of the Police Criminal Investigations Department (CID), ACP Maame Yaa Tiwaa Addo-Danquah, second-in-command of the PIPS, now moves to the CID headquarters as the deputy with ACP Dennis A. Akob-dem, second-in-command, CID headquarters, now moves to CID headquarters Special Duties as second-in-command.

Meanwhile, reports do claim that more shakes in the police service would be announced in the coming weeks as sources close to the new IGP suggest that he intends to work hard to change the image of the Police Service.
