Black Stars captain, Asamoah Gyan has been declared fit to start in this afternoon’s quarter-final clash with DR Congo.
The 31-year-old striker rejoined his team-mates at Saturday afternoon’s training in Oyem.
Gyan who picked up a knock was replaced in the first-half during Ghana’s 1-0 loss to Egypt in the Group D last game in Port-Gentil.
His return to training means coach Avram Grant afforded a big sigh of relief ahead of a crucial quarter-finals encounter.
Asamoah Gyan is Ghana’s all-time top-scorer at the AFCON following his goal against Mali while the second game is between Morocco and Egypt.
The former Sunderland striker barring any last minute hitch will start for Ghana today.
