Ghana booked a place in the semi-finals of the tournament after a very tough match against the Leopards of Congo which saw Jordan score the opening goal that was quickly shut out by Mpoku the Congolese striker who scored the equalizer minutes later.
But after a penalty was awarded to the Ghana, Captain and brother to Jordan, Dede Ayew scored to give Ghana a 2-1 lead over Congo.
After the match, Jordan who was also named MOM opened up to why it was a emotional goal for him
He said “You know as a striker you will always want to score. But it’s just that you score some goals that are really, really important and you see your team-mates so happy, you see the bench so happy, you see the supporters so happy, you see the country so happy, “So when you think about all these things, it makes you so emotional. And as a kid I always dreamt to score in the big games, and I thank God that happened.”

Speaking on the upcoming Semi Final clash with Cameroon on Thursday, the striker stated: “It’s just a quarter-finals and we have another big game against Cameroon. It will be a very tough game but, like I said, we have to keep on going”
