The vetting of Otiko Djaba remains none of the highly controversial encounters ever recorded. The vetting of Otiko Djaba remains none of the highly controversial encounters ever recorded. The minister designate in charge of children's affairs was teethed up against any form of aggression as she took her turn before the appointments committee.
The vetting seemed to have been an exchange between the minister designate and Okudjeto Ablakwa of the minority National Democratic Congress (NDC).
It all happened when Ablakwa asked the minister designate how best she thought politicians could remain role models to children. "Our children can learn from us if we don't have 'babies with sharp teeth' honourable member," she fiercely retorted.
The minister designate was subsequently brought to order as she was warned against the use of explosive languages. Otiko remains one of the most vociferous politicians of the NPP, describing former president Mahama as a "wicked president" and also a "shame" to Northerners.
