The Member of Parliament for Bakwu Central, Mahama Ayariga, drew laughter on social media after pictures which appeared to show him looking bored at Monday's appointments committee sitting went viral.
Ayariga has been focus on national news in recent days after alleging that minority members of the committee were given GHC3,000 by Boakye Agarko, the energy minister.
He said the money was routed through the minority chief whip, Mubarak Muntaka.
His claim has sparked outrage in a section of the public, with some Ghanaians accusing him of lying.
At Friday's sitting, Ayariga appeared bored and uncomfortable, drawing laughter from some social media users.
"The man is highly disturbed," one Facebook user charged.
"Because of his lies, he has now realised the trouble he is in," another said on Facebook.
Meanwhile Ayariga and two of his colleague on the minority side, Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa, and Alhassane Suhuyini, wrote a letter to the parliamentary leadership to investigate the bribery case.
