Eric Asante, the Tamale based teacher who was recently acquitted and discharged by the Supreme Court after spending 15 years in jail, stated that he would be a lot more relieved if his accuser confessed the identity of the true perpetrator of the crime.
Speaking on Atinka FM's AM Drive with Ekourba Gyasi, Mr. Asante expressed that although the Supreme Court's decision put and end to his decade long false incarceration, he still felt pain for the false accusation.
According to Eric Asante, his vindication would only be complete once the girl who accused him revealed the true perpetrator's identity. Mr. Asante is also convinced that the true perpetrator forced his accuser to finger him (Mr. Asante) for the crime as a cover up.
