George Quaye, the Director of Communications for Charter House Ghana, has suggested that should his tenure at the prestigious entertainment events company end, he would reveal the names of industry stakeholders, namely, music artistes, who have paid bribes to the company.
"If in future I resign from Charterhouse or I stop speaking for the VGMA, I’ll mention those names and if someone can also facilitate for me be sacked by Charterhouse, I’ll name those artistes," he said, in an interview on Kasapa FM.
Last week, George said on the popular entertainment review show, The Pundits, that most of the artistes that offer bribes to him as an executive on the prestigious VGMAs panel are gospel artistes.
He further noted that most of the gospel artistes enacted schemes that would interfere with the efforts of other artistes, an assertion that was supporter by music producer, Kwasi Ernest who was also present on the show.
However, on Thursday, January 26, George Quaye released a statement apologizing for his words, admitting that they were 'careless' and 'wrong'.
