Parliament forms 5-member ad hoc committee to investigate bribery allegation

The Parliament of Ghana has constituted a five-member ad-hoc committee to investigate bribery scandal against some members of the Appointments Committee.

Joe Ghartey heads C’ttee to probe bribery scandal

The five-member committee will be chaired by Joe Ghartey, a former Attorney General and the members include Ben Abdallah, Ama Pomaah Boateng, BT Baba and Magnus Kofi Amoatey.

The Committee has 30 days to present its report.

Meanwhile, the Speaker Prof. Mike Oquaye has assured the public nothing will be “swept” under the carpet although the Committee members are made up of legislators.
