Members of the group arrived at the flats which house serving national security officials, according to a report by starrfmonline.com.

They reportedly arrived in six vehicles and said that they had been directed by the chief of staff, Frema Osei, to take over the apartments.

The move comes a day after soldiers and national security officials raided the house of Kofi Adams, the national organiser of the National Democratic Congress and took away five cars from his compound.

Kofi Adams told Accra-based Asempa FM on Wednesday that soldiers, numbering about 15, went to his house in the company of some officials of the Driver and Vehicle Licencing Authority (DVLA) and made away with three pick-up vehicles, a Toyota Land Cruiser, and one other vehicle.
