Dr. Gilbert Buckle, the CEO of the Korle Bu Teaching Hospital has left his current post, stating, "his efforts, like a seed that is planted, will take time to germinate and even longer to grow to maturity."
His exit from the position came in an open letter signed by him, dated February 1, 2017..
According to a Class FM report, Dr Samuel Asiamah is set to step in as the acting CEO beginning February 2, by the directive of the Ministry of Health director.
Dr Gilbert Buckle has over 20 years’ professional experience in the public and private health sectors in Ghana, with more than 12 years in senior management and leadership roles.
There had been numerous conflicting issues between his administration and the Korle Bu Senior Staff Association (KOSSA) who raised concerns about certain expenditures of the outgoing CEO.
