Tamale in chaos as NPP boys attack government institutions

Some members of the New Patriotic Party, known as the Kandahar boys have caused some mayhem in Tamale when as they have attacked some state institutions.

The group allegedly trooped to some state-owned premises and locked them up, claiming it is their turn to 'reap the harvest' as their party now sits on the government seat.

According to a Starr News report, these Kandahar boys also stormed the offices of the NHIS and the Youth Employment Authority in Sagnarigu, beat up workers present there and locked up the offices.

Only one police officer was reportedly stationed at the NHIS office, who was easily overpowered by the group which led to workers and patrons at the premises to flee.

The rampaging Kandahar boys are said to number around 30, and all the offices they seized have been locked up.

According to some workers who spoke on the attack, there were rumors on Thursday that the commotion would take place Friday, but they paid no heed to them.
