The funeral of Kwabena Boadu, the late New Patriotic Party (NPP) activist and press aide to Vice President Mahamudu Bawumia, was on Saturday held at the forecourt of the State House in Accra.
The funeral was attended by several NPP faithful who deem Boadu a hero who died helping the party regain power.
Vice-President Mahamudu Bawumia delivered a touching tribute at the funeral of his former press aide, Kwabena Boadu, held at the State House in Accra.
“Kwabena Boadu was not only my press aide; he became my friend, my political advisor, my strategist, my speech writer, my confidant and my younger brother. He did so much but always shunned the lime light. That was Kwabena for you.
"Kwabena Boadu, I miss you, and you will forever remain in my heart; Kwabena, rest in peace until we meet again," he said.
Boadu was found dead in his hotel room in Wa, the Upper West regional capital, on November 24, 2016, during the NPP's campaign tour of the region.
