Acting Inspector General of Police (IGP), David Asante-Apeatu, has enacted further changes to the higher echelons of the Ghana Police Service.
According to the relatively new IGP's hierarchy COP Kofi Boakye, who used to be he Regional Commander for the Ashanti Region, has been moved back to the country's capital to take the position of Director of Research and Planning, a position currently held by COP Rose Bio Atinga.
COP Rose Bio Atinga, has been relocated to the role of Director General, Technical.

COP George Akufo Dampare, last year, was moved from the office of Greater Accra Regional Police Commander to the post of Commandant of the Police Command and Staff College at Winneba has now been recalled to the national headquarters. He will now take up the position of Director General of ICT, a position formerly held by the new IGP.
Former Director General (Technical), COP Frank Adu Poku who has been replaced by COP Rose Atinga, will assume the post of Director of General Services.
Director General of Administration, COP Ransford Ninson, has been moved to head the service's Welfare as Director General.
