YEN has sighted a document detailing what the presidency says is the theft of 208 vehicles from the presidency by officials of the Mahama administration.
The document reveals that Akufo-Addo administration expected to find 196 Toyota V8 vehicles at the presidency but only found 74, leaving a deficit 122.
Out of 73 Toyota Land Cruiser Prados expected, only 20 were found, with 43 missing.
Of 24 Mercedes Benz vehicles, 11 were found, with 13 missing.
Similarly, of 28 Toyota Avalons vehicles expected, the new government found two found, with 26 missing.
Finally, of six BMW cars expected, two were found while four were missing.
The presidency says that the shortage of cars at the presidency has been so bad that the president sometimes uses his private vehicles for official duties.
The government has already set up a task force to track and retrieve the missing vehicles.
