The job security of many civil servants at the Flagstaff House is said to be danger with moves being made by the new government to remove all of them.

According to Starrfmonline, sources close to the seat of government tell them, officials of the new government are uncomfortable with the presence of the civil servants who were mostly unemployed during the erstwhile John Mahama administration.
They include gardeners, caterers, clerks and others in administration.
Since it is almost nearly impossible to sack these civil servants, they would have to be reassigned to other government agencies in order for the new government to bring in people they are ‘comfortable’ with.

In a recent development, the new Minister of Energy and Petroleum said there was a need for civil servants with a fondness for the former government to be trusted.
“It is important for us, as a party, to work hard and expose and shame any NDC civil servant who will dare do any dubious thing to make the NPP government unpopular,” Mr. Agyarko said on Oman FM on Tuesday.
